I was wondering if anybody has used the mad intake system and programmable ECU on thier 2.5 mercury EFI motors. the setup is made by wayne taylor of taylor marine in selma AL.i am hoping to get some feedback on it. it looks like ill be selling my two jet boats. 1980 southwind tunnel dragster and a 1979 sanger super jet this winter and start building a new stoker sport tunnel with jacques at american star marine. we decided to go with a new boat and build a bad ass 1997 merc 2.5 EFI since i live and boat in norcal the only way we can keep the boat in the high 90s. i wish i could buy a new merc 2.5 280hp but no not in calif damm sierra tree humping club.

    Sanger Mike,
I have Wayne's system on my 2.5, just the air horn for now. I'm looking at Tony B's or Waynes ECU.
So far I like the air horn. A Stoker is a good hull,I had one, but their not a good as a lake race hull.
I'm not sure how to post photos here but if you go to www.havasubarney.com and make a post I will post them there so you can see.

My cousin has it on his JohnRude motor and it works pretty good.Merc sells the 2.5 300hp with the Madd system on it.I think the 280hp 2.5 comes with it also.So it must work if Merc is installing them from the factory.
Very important note:You don't need any more than 280hp to run high 90's with a light lay up Stoker.I had one with 270 hp and it went 97 on the gun.

    Skaterfast,
The Stoker is a great hull and 97 MPH is 97 MPH
it's just how fast you get there.
The Merc 300 Drag motor comes stock with a SVS intake system, not Wayne Taylor's system.
Sorry Dog, I don't know about no IM, IM AM PM it's all the same.

hey everbody, thanks for the input so far. as far as posting pics goes, i learned how to, over in the just jets forums. on the second page there is a post titled 'how to post pics'. its pretty easy once you read the instructions, even though i still have to get my girlfirend to do it every time for me
