I'm working on a project boat and it came with the outdrive trim, steering, trim tabs, and engine hatch all running off the same hydraulic system. The guy said he "couldn't get it to work" and thought the solution was a larger reservoir. I had a guy at the marina tell me the larger reservoir would run around $500. Sounded expensive even by boating standards. I don't have much experience with boats, so my question is, is this the proper set up? is the larger reservior going to be a solution? thought about going electrical with the engine hatch, good or bad idea? Any and all suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
