Thread: too much power?

    im restoring an 84 hydrostream 16'7 ventura,i built a bad 200 merc, carb motor,built diapers both sides of transom and installed knees..am i gonna be asking for trouble since it is only rated for a 140 hp. motor

    No problemo - Just hit that Trottle !
    Off Course if you havent driven fast boats
    before, you should start out with caution on the first 5 - 10 runs depending on where you are making trial runs, and your basic skills.

    this is a very good factor to keep in mind i would definitly exercise caution when doing trial runs because you never know how the boat is goin to respond to the power
