They had to shut down a nuclear plant not far from here in Alabama because the TN river temp around the cooling towers was 90+. We went out last week and the river temp was 85 or 86.

Did they shut down a nuclear power plant?
It's 100 at night here in good ol bullhead. I for one can't handle under 70 degrees
Same here.
If it's under 100, my kids throw the day back.
It's nice to play in but I always wondered how the "outside" workers do it..
You should spend your day in a 120 degree paint booth....in a plastic suit....boo hoo....

Word up
Did they shut down a nuclear power plant?
I seemed have heard something about that
Yeah, when it gets down to 105 we have to break out the winter coats
The highest I've seen on a truck thermometer was 134. It was on the tow truck that came to get us, our Grand Cherokee, and our Cheetah at Water Road, on the I-40. We'd been sitting in the shade of the front bumper for two hours waiting, but we had water. The GC's trans lines gave out and dumped all the ATF, so we sat on the off ramp and waited.
