So Mike, what's the BIG RIVER? I've got the Sacramento and the American here in my town. The American is too shallow except for those who like to bump their butts on the rocks as they raft by, the Sacramento looked good today when I was down there.

Greg, Big River is a little stretch on the Colorado river below Parker. Also known as the Lower River. It is really shallow with a ton of rocks, is usually always windy, and the water is contaminated and stinks like diapers. It really sucks.
It's where all us So Cal and AZ jets go, you should roll down. It's worth the drive.:idea:

Well, not this year. The boat was just picked up 3 weeks ago and needs work, but then, what project boat, or any boat for that matter, doesn't need something done to it. Besides, I'm getting ready to open a new business in the next couple of months and that's going to be taking all my time. Any extra or spare time I find will be limited to using the rest of this summer and early fall on the river up here and then the boat goes into my shop and becomes an evening hobby.
I'm going to prove to a couple of jerks that you can get a lot of HP out of a wrecking yard motor for around $2500.00 and it doesn't require all the latest gadgets from a performance shop. But the boat is going to get a complete hull restoration and new paint.
So you guys have a great time and tip one or two back for me.
