Thread: Question for Tire Guru's

Just picked up a super clean 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500HD with 20k miles.
It is ready for new tires soon. It has load range E rubber on it (heavier side walls). I am looking for a smooth ride. I only tow my 21ft Ultra with it from Storage to the lake.
A few tire shops I've visited say they can only put the E range tires on it. What gives? Will regular tires work O.K.? I have no plans on towing anything heavier with it. Thanks.

I'd stay with the load range E tires. Theres a reason why it came with them.
