New to boating...tell me about my new 150hp Mercury...

Hi everyone...I just bought my first boat about an hour ago. I won't be able to get it home 'till at least monday, can't get a cashiers check until then. Anyway, I'm wondering if you could tell me a little about my motor. It's a 150hp Mercury outboard, the boat is a '76 (in perfect condition) so I'm guessing the motor is too. Can somebody tell me how many cylinder it is and the displacement? Are there any relatively easy things to do for more horse power?
