Start the morning of the 28th....For those in the Western U.S., the event will start just after midnight - Totality will occur for the west coast at about 2:52 AM.

sweet thanks for the info, according to the calculator it should be in full eclipse around 3:30 am in my town. I will start drinking around midnight
