I've used VHT before and it lasted OK on a regular engine. Just dont put it on too thick. You dont want it to hold heat or it will burn right off. Just enough to get some color...
my twisties are coming apart on me at the collectors and i need to wait till spring before buyin new 1's. anyways, i've got some shorties i sent to be welded up dry, have the o2 bungs installed, cut the collectors down and they should be back tonite. the chrome is shiat and these headers aren't worth coating so what's the best black paint that'll stay on a blown boat's headers?? i don't think the hi-temp ceramic stuff duplicolor sells will stay on them. egt on a blower motor gets up to 1700-1800 at times.
anybody have any luck with a certain brand??

You do realize your pistons will melt before 2000 degrees and if your headers are that hot your burning fuel in them as well as your cylinders.
