Does anyone know anything about the boat being raised off the East jetty outside of Newport Harbor?
I walk to the beach in Corona del Mar everyday for lunch and noticed a salvage crew around 1/4 mile out a couple of weeks ago. Around a week ago, a boat started to surface. It's main deck finally reached the surface, but it's a very slow process. The locals say it's a $3 million dollar, 60 ft yacht. I can't find any news about it on the web though.

Wasn't there a story a while back of a boat that sunk off the jetty, and they were searching for a possible victim?

A few months back, a boat plowed into the West jetty from the West and it was destroyed. They searched many miles for the owner.
The boat they are raising now is intact.
