We bought a lot at The Refuge (Arnold Palmer Golf Community) in Lake Havasu to build our retirement home in a few years. Great place to live other than July/Aug. See link: http://www.siennacorp.com/therefuge/
i choose to live in Tucson, Arizona because i want to. i guess if i didn't like it that much i would move somewhere else. with that said i could live in Phoenix, Las vegas or San Diego. i think Florida would be the ultimate boaters paradise though.
I live in Phoenix...were I want to live 8 out of 12 months of the year. (with 5 local lakes) plus all the lakes along the Colorado River.
The other 4 months I try to take as much vacation and visit all those places mentioned above
