2 deputies injured when their motorcycles collide
Two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries when their motorcycles collided shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday on Pacific Coast Highway, authorities said.
The deputies were taken by helicopter to UCLA Medical Center.
Their names were not immediately released.
The highway was closed for two hours as authorities investigated the crash, which occurred near Big Rock Drive while the deputies were on traffic patrol, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Was alcohol involved?
Most likely they were chasing a suspected OUI at the time, so of course this will be reported as an "alcohol related" accident..........

I'm glad no serious injuries...these guys do have it pretty tough out there. However, I am quite curious to know the details in the collision! How do you run into each other?
