I just bought my first boat, an old 1970s-ish 16' Stylecraft with a 105hp Chrysler OB. The whole thing is a toilet bowl, but with a little TLC should look pretty sharp. Any way, I got the engine running and fuel dribbles out of the front of the carbs. Obviously, the floats are not shutting the fuel flow into the bowl off. I'm having trouble finding info on the Tillotson WB2C carbs. Also, the wire from the generator is supposed to go to a resistor of some sort (I think). On this engine it looks like that resister has been bypassed, and the appropriate wire is not connected under the dash either. Any help will be appreciated.

I agree with snapper, find a good used OMC or Merc. I wouldn't waste any money on a Chrysler.
Thanks for your input guys. Replacing the engine is definetly an option I have concidered. This engine is in fairly good condition and it occurs there are only a few wrinkles to iron out. Also, it seems there aren't many on the water (I'm sure there is probably a good reason) and I would like to have something a little unique. So, if you have any info on a rebuild kit for the Tillotson WB2C Carburetors or are familiar with the wiring related to the charging system or know of a web-site or person I may contact.... I would really appreciate it. Also, if you know anything about fixing a hook in my hull SEE my other posting Visually Hooked. Thanks again guys.

Had a Chrysler 115, and it leaked out of the carb's too.It was on a BANSHEE by Vanguard and the bitch would only go 47 mph, sold it after.Does your's pop when you fire it up, that is the garbs, to lean.Good luck and will look around for you, had a shop manual for those105,115,130 and 135. Will look !
Bud, I've got one of those motors in the garage now and would take on offer on it. We just took it off of dads boat and bought him a new one I'm in escondido ca if your interested

Bud, there are still some folks who are highly knowledgable about the Chrysler outboards. I understand the 4 cylinder Chrysler isn't that great but some guys seem to run them without too much trouble. T-REX has recently hot-rodded a Chrysler 140 and put it on his PRO-120 boat. He knows his stuff.
