I'm doing a project boat and I looked under the transom area right before the eng and I can see light from the sun. After looking at it from under the boat the gelcoat is gone. Looks like it chipped away. Its about 1/4 inch wide by about 1 foot long.. It still seems strong as there is no weak point.. Should I reglass that area? If so should I do it from the inside or the outside? Any other quick fixes? This is just a 18 ft ski boat with a 460 so no big HP. Thanks for the help.
Its common to see that , in clear carribean waters on many Benneteu sailboats is you look in the bilge it looks like the bildge is glowing. seeing that its not a sailboat more glass cant hurt.
