NOT wise to gamble with your trailer tires LOL. I know it was my own fault for ignoring my 10+ year old car tires on a trailer that had cracked sidewalls.

This pretty much killed the weekend for us . No spare tire, no lug wrench (to fit the trailer). So It got towed home on a flat bed. On a good note the rim suffered no damage. Bad side is I now need three tires, and some way to mount a spare. My trailer has no provision nor room for a spare.
To bad 30" Bronco spare wouldn't fit in the fender LOL

Hasseling with a spare is better then being fuked on rice road, throw it in the boat or back of the truck, unless you have a dual axl or tripple your gonna need a spare. Or make a mount like i did on my old boat.

I am thinking of going by our body shop, and grabbing a safety spare for a mustang out of one of the wrecks. It might be thin enough I can mount it to the under side of the trailer.

That sucks for sure, but better get that spare! Even if you gotta have it in the truck.... You sure you don't have room on the trailer? We used a piece of channel iron, welded under the frame of the trailer. Made a damn good tire mount if I do say so myself. It would have looked factory if I hadn't just rattle-canned it black, lol. Here's a pic of it....

I think that rim will have a different bolt pattern. Won't fit. No spare, no lug wrench ( guess you didn't need a lug wrench w/o a spare). Yeah, you were asking for it, that is for sure.
I purchased a spare rim and new tire for $ 40 bucks at one of those used tire stores, you might want to give them a try if you want to save a few bucks.

I would like to hear what Tom has to say about the tires, but here is a good inexpensive bracket. I have one and mounted it vertically on the frame right next to where D-man has his.

I use a stock aluminum Mustang rim for a spare, but it's not a safety spare. I don't think I would try a safety spare on a single axle trailer. Each corner of a Mustang weigh's and half your boat and trailer weighs
