I have a 1996 '20 Eclipse going through a complete redo ... don't know about it performance yet ... but I'll have threads posting up performance as it happens ... keep your eye out for them ...
Carrera's have always been high quality boats though ...
One of the best damn boats ever made... but that's my unbiased opinion
Seriously, I have a 1990 205 Elite and it's solid as hell, rides like a dream, handles great, and performs a good as expected w/ a stock 454. You will not be disapointed.

My father in law has a 91 eclipse. With about 800hp, blue printed bottom, jet work, and an open bow it GPS'd 98. I will see if I can dig up some photos.
