Thread: Donovan gear drive question

    After I degree in my cam, who can tell me how much advance / retard you get if the cam gear is shifted to a different hole position? I understand the vernier effect, just want to know if I can mark each of the 7 bolt holes with a number.

    Those deals are a mess as far as cam degreeing. Best bet is just gonna be degreeing it yourself in each position and somehow marking it.
    Just a note: Every cam I ever saw falls off entirely through the range when moved more than 4 degrees. 2 degrees was never enough to "feel" so 4 degrees was it.
