China's entire GDP does not equel a HUGE part of our economy (it only is about 1/5 of ours). If they messed up our economy the first thing that would happen is they would lose the market that that they depend on for thier own. Messing up our economy would probably do them far more long term harm than it would do to us.

No doubt, but without our market they would have no need for all that oil. Please do not think that I am saying China is an ally. China has never really been an ally to anyone. China is only interested in China. To China all non Chinese are seen as inferior savages. They only do business for their own self intrest.
