    ok the #'s are 1 is C16-72 the other is F13-72. i take it that they are 1972 heads.

    ok the #'s are 1 is C16-72 the other is F13-72. i take it that they are 1972 heads.Not bad...cast within three months of eachother. C16 = March 16, and F13 = June 13. Years ago I had a set of Camelhump 194's that were the same month, within a few days.

    Check those numbers on Ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got $1600 for my rectangle port heads on there. They were 1968 and dated 1 month apart. I had 28 bids and I started at $1000.00

    How are you feeling?
    Keeping on track, Pat, if you find someone doing a numbers correct restoration, those heads have some good value. I think I'd follow the advice here and pawn those things and get a set of Canfields.

    we are going to run the heads for now and tear the engine back down over the winter and sell them off. right now we need to get it running for a boating trip in 2 weeks. thanks for all the information on them. the heads just came out of the machine shop. i told my son he has to take it easy beside the bottom end is fresh.

    Unfortunately, due to your date codes, they aren't going to be worth $1500 on ebay. If they were dated 69 or 70 then they would. You never know though, Im always suprised to see what some people are willing to pay for these parts.
