I have been looking at a boat made by Eagle One. It is their 185 Ski Racer. Anyone heard anything about these boats? As far as I can tell, it is not a true tunnel, but a mod version of. I am kinda new to the scene, and would like to know how much motor I would need to hit a top speed of abot 85, and have decent power out of the hole. Also, can someone shoot me a ballpark price as to what I could expect to pay for a new Merc, say 200hp or so?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Okay, I have seen those advertised before in the back of ***boat. I will correct my first post as I believe you could hit 85 with a stock 200hp Merc or OMC. However, if it were me, I would buy nothing less than a short shaft 225 Pro Max, and most likely, I would buy the short shaft 2.5L 280hp Merc. My recomendation is to buy a short shaft, it will be easier on your transom, plus you really don't need any more mid section than 15" on a boat like that. One other boat you may want to consider is a Mirage. Very similar boat, but I believe they have been around longer. Good Luck! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/cool.gif
