Thread: Sci-fi TV broads

What's good about science fiction television? I'm not questioning sci-fi TV's quality, just looking for some insight.
Sets are rarely believable, premises cheesy, dialog next to intolerable, performances wooden. It's always formula. On the surface, it seems plenty hatable enough so why do I like it?
    It's the women.
Most of the sci-fi cast will be men with a few exceptions. Those few women will be smoking hot.
If the plot features a resistance leader, she will be the only woman in the movement. She will live in caves underground, with the men who report to her. Of course, she can kick the ass of any men working for her. Strangely, she will be the only one in the resistance who wears a uniform.
The standard issue resistance leader uniform, of course, is the skin-tight black leotard. Footwear is the leather boot, high calf in height. The boot will feature a sensible two inch heel for cave walking but will have a tight upper to properly display legs rendered silky and sinewy by resistance leading. Standard issue foundation garments for the head chick is a victorian corset and underwire bra for her D-cups.
When navigating caves, men tire easily. Looking visibly soiled and haggard, the men ask to stop and rest. Even after crawling on their hands and knees for miles, the resistance leader continues to look bright and fresh. Her platinum blonde hair retains it's perfect flip style and her makeup continues to be perfect, despite the week long cave trek with no supplies.
Directors have no issue with shooting a scene that shows the dove white hands of the resistance leader, featuring a perfect manicure and pale pink polish, next to the dirty grungy men who travel the caves with her. Realistic, shmealistic.
It would seem, all science fiction connoisseurs are into dominant broads. Who else is in?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the main reason to watch sci fi flicks/ tv is the hot chicks.

    Yeoman Janice Rand.
Interesting choice. Her character was not dominant, but all kinds of hot.

I always wanted to be Yeoman Janice (right?) I think I was like 7 years old or something.

You can be, Deb. Hook yourself up with the outfit and perhaps a prop or two such as the steno device from one of the Trekkie sites, head down to the hair salon, and give Matt a nice surprise. I'm sure he'll be more than happy to beam you up.
Hey Bilgie, what's your position on Scarlett Johansson in The Island? The problem with the premise of that movie is that they stopped at a single clone of her.
