Better measure it up, there really isnt a 'standard length' on anything v-drive, Measure from the end of the v-drive shaft to the end of strut and specify that when ordering, you want no more than 3/4" gap between the strut and prop, the less gap the better.
You can Call Glenwood or Rex, there is this wild new thing around called UPS, i believe they can ship to MI for ya
600hp on a 1" shaft means Aquamet or K-Monel for shaft material.

    Thanks racey,
Mine was aleast 6 inches away from the strut on my flat! Moving it that far up the boat should ride a bit different...huh!
That is the way I bought it...It ran good, I thought! I would think if that is the case...it should carry the nose quite a bit easier!

Hey Racey, you forgot where all that - Aquamet 22- stuff came from,.......

I always forget that you guys do prop shafts too Mitch! we only ever use 500 K-Monel shafts, just the way we've always done it. You guys don't carry those right? Aquamet is very comparable in strength, and very proven as well in high performance applications.
If you decide on the Aquamet shaft Casale will treat you right, and they only carry quality parts, no cheezey knock offs, you can bet the farm on anything you get from the boys at Casale Eng. quality wise.

Casale, what do you consider the horsepower limits on a 1" shaft for a lakeboat that doesn't get crackchecked regularly?
At what point would you recommend 1 1/8" or 1 1/4"?
Will a larger shaft (and strut) give significantly more transom lift, or more overall lift?
We tunnel boats might suffer from too much lift.:squiggle:

    stock big block 1"
    built big block 1 1/8"
built and blown big block 1 1/4"
    on Alcohol 1 3/8"
    Fuel 1 1/2"
*Note-Some may differ, depending on application
quarter mile drag boats and most pleasure boats.
Circle guys do it a little different with the K-monel, 7/8" and 1"
