Actually, that's amazingly nice for this time of year.
It got just warm enough here yesterday to melt some of the snow on my roof which, of course, didn't drain in the snow packed gutters properly. Water cascaded over the side of the house and onto the concrete at my back entrance where it immediately froze.
When I stepped outside this morning... it was pretty interesting.

The morning event reminded me of an incident that happened when I was a little tyke.
We had just installed a new driveway in the summer. It was smooth concrete, power-troweled to a shiney surface. The first frosty day, my Dad stepped outside with his dress shoes and ended up on the street due to the frost polished slope. He couldn't get back up the drive. His temples were pretty red by the time he scampered around the back to the garage through the neighbor's yard.
