    A valve that sits on the hand hole cleanout that relives pressure from the intake during shutdown. If motor shuts down impeller stops spinning or slows way down. Impeller can't get rid of water that intake is building as boat moves. When this happens the boats can get loose and dangerous. Valves relives that pressure. Mostly found on race boats.

    When I Get Out Of The Throtle At A Mere 65-70 My TahITI Gets A Little Darty. Just Curious. My Panther/ Energizer Has No Clean Out.

    so how much does one of these cost? sounds expensive!
    also, ive only seen them on set-back pumps...is that cuz of no room in the engine compartment? mine isnt set-back (yet lol)

    yes they have to be on a set back pump because they evacuate what ever water is in the pump until the boat slows down enough,and there about 1500-2000 depends on the setup.i dont know much but from what i understand a ratchet is just as good and i think there only like 1200 bucks they let the pump freewhell when ever you get out of the throttle no mater when a pop off valve only works when you hit the button, or if you have a bowl pressure switch.

    pop off on your panther? PM RCB19, hes a specialist on those setups.
