Not exactly sure, but.......some tachs have multiple setting options for different motors (like Gaffrig.......although I can't get mine right, but that is another story). If the Yamer tach has multiple setting options, you should find a few switches on the back (may be under a cover or plug) that have an on/off option. Find out how many "pulses" the Johnson motor requires to read properly and set the tach accordingly. If the Yamer tach does not have multiple settings, then the two motors need to have the same "pulse" signals.
