    miss behavin'
i have a 1977 16' tahiti with a '07 115hp evinrude i want to get the most out it and am wondering about jackplates. the previous owner told me the ideal ride spot was when the splash from the water and the boat was just behind the drivers shoulder. that was with the old 105hp chrysler and no stereo 110 pounds? extra. now the boat stays deeper in the water and i cant get it with the trim the hull has a deep v tapering back to almost flat starting to flaten out about 3' from transom the center of the prop shaft is 8'' lower than the pad bottom of the boat. i ski behind this boat so i need pulling power with still as much top speed as i can get would raising or setting the motor back help the perfomance
    17'' pitch sst 5500 rpm 35mph
19''pitch sst 5500rpm 45mph pulls skier out good not very strong 3000rpm-5500rpm
19''pitch viper 5400rpm 50mph alright pulling skier out prop of choise
    21''pitch viper 5100rpm 55mph no pull skier

Yes. I think you would be happiest with a hydraulic jack plate. Don't forget a water pressure gauge.
