Water hose size on intake from jet..

I have an eliminator 210 eagle with a set back legend pump. I would like to change the water intake hose from the nasty rubber one to a nice braided hose with fittings. Can someone tell me what size to use, 8an, 10an, 12an, the hose on there does not seem to have a size on it.. Also, is a standard bulkhead fitting long enough to go through the pump and hull so I can attach hose on th other side.. Any help would be great. thanks!!!

You can use -8(which is most common) or -10.

Dumb question but I have to ask... The larger the number the smaller the hose??

Yup, somebody on here has a cross reference to what the ID size is for SS lines. I've seen it but can't find it

Think of it in 1/16's
-8 = 8 - 1/16's or 1/2 inch
-10 = 10 - 1/16's or 5/8 inch
-12 = 12 - 1/16's or 3/4 inch
etc . . .
