I painted this Mako for a buddy of mine named Cliff Copeland. He bought the boat out of Norco I believe. Andy Dement came by the shop and looked at it and told me this was the original Mako "Ivory Hunter". He went right to the port side stringer and pointed out where a rod had hit during one of Jims engine explosions. So that is where the info came from. Whether it's true, who knows for sure. But i've never known Andy to "BS" anyone :idea:
