Any Illinois river jet boaters on here? I've seen a few around Big Basin Marina by RT55 bridge. I would think ARS Marine would be down here once he moves into Morris Illinois location. How about it George? Illinois river jet boaters, SHOW YOURSELVES!

We used to be on the Kankakee, just above where it joins the Illinois, which is about 20 miles outside Joliet. Lots of lower unit eating rocks there, jets preferred.

Yeah man, they should be hauling my houseboat out during this week, so I'll be on land with that, (I stay at Harborside) If the weathers good, I'll bring the jet with. I should be there Friday night thru Sunday night, staying on the houseboat. I've got a ton of paining to do. Bikini, great looking boat, what is that, a blown BBC? How's it running?
SB, I've been up to the bridge on the kankakee with the houseboat (twin v-drives), haven't roto-tilled a thing yet. (notice I said yet)
George, I'm looking forward to meeting you, you probably don't know it, but we've spoken a few times. I work at a small marine store in Aurora. (Mark)

There are 8 - 10 jet boats that run on the Fox river in St. Charles, usually 4-5 typical on the weekend.

i will be one of those 4-5 this weekend. are you done sleekcrafter or will you be out? we took a trip to the illinois river in ottawa last year. it was fine until the big cabin cruisers came out and tore up the water. we also took a trip out west to savannah il on the mississippi river. that was great. you could go for miles and never have to slow down for rough water or anything. even when a barge goes by the river is so wide that it dosent even bother you.

Mississippi is a blast, we go just north of Gutenberg Iowa. Sunday mornings have the cruisers on their way to brunch too. If it's decent weather I'm gonna run it once more. Most of the flood debris has been removed from the channels.
I've never run my boat on the Illinois river, Too many Baja type boats to contend with.

Man, I hear that. The only real time I run is after coffee in early AM and before dusk. All the freakin nuts are back in their trees.
Sleekcrafter, do you guys do St. Chas most all weekends? I've got a ton of work to do on the HB, otherwise I'd come up and meet you guys. If ya remember, PM me when you guys go up there, maybe before it gets cold. I worked with a gal at Zylstra Harley, that had a boyfriend that ran a jet, anybody you know?
