Well while I am waiting on my Intake to get back from MPD I thought I would dress up My fuel tanks.when I took them out of the boat, they had been covered with carpet and had carpet glue all over them and were ugly and nasty.
    What Do You think?

In case You could'nt tell ,those are suposed to be flames
I am going to tint some clear coat with some blue pearl, and spray over ,so the tank's will have a light blue tint to them and the flames will shine right through.
I saw a sign done this way at the paint suply where I buy My paint and body suplies. It looked BAD ASS!....Hal

Well I don't know about that .I have seen this Done alot ,but knew what the finnishing techniuqe is called.I have tried to research it on the inter net,but have not ever seen anthing,so I just started experimenting
I think it could be better ,with more practice.
Only about half of the tank ,the half that is in the engine bay, will be seen, but I did not want to cover with carpet and pollishing them would be too much work.
If any one knows what this metal finishing techniuqe is called or has experiance with it ,or knows where I can find info on it ,please let me know......Hal
