You will hear guys say to do it yourself but after watching the crew come out and the chemicals used and the amount of epoxy, no homemade kit will ever come close. We were charged about 1200.00 and that was for a 20x22 garage.

    looks great!
Not worried about paying a professional. Just want someone who does a good job for a reasonable price. Have two garages to be done. 1- 12 + 20
    2- 20+20.

$1,200.00 OUCH! I bought a kit on sale at lowes for $70.00, rustoleum. Yes not much for color choice. But heck the U coat it is around $200.00 or so. What brand did they use? Thats a lot of dough for a two hour job. Some of these kits are made to just put it on, no etching. It's to easy to pay some one to do it.

Prices will start at about 4/ sf and go up from there for a decent product.
Let me ask you this, do you have a good vapor barrier underneath the slab? If not it don't waste your money, it does not matter what product is used its just a matter of time before it starts to peel.
Don't expect the kits you buy at the box store to last more then a few years of use... it would actaully be better if you bought oil basied "side walk paint" and used that instead, it would last longer.

I did mine myself with the home kit from Home Depot 3 years ago and have no problems, and no reason to believe I am going to. One tip... it was really hot out when I did it, and if you don't move fast it will dry and leave some minor streaks. (not bad though) I also did what the first pics posted in this thread did and painted the base boards so I can hose the garage out w/o water getting under them. When I do hose and use a push broom to give any spots a light scrub, the little flakes you throw in it will come up and bit, but not enough to make any difference.

If you need a quote, let me know. Been doing it since 91 and can give HBrs a better price than most.
