Thanks a lot guys. Shot ya both a five.
fastsanger:
hey its a 1978 w/berkley e pump place diverter droop/wedge took the hook out, had a 482"bbc in it went 92 mph last year, building a new motor right now for it You must be pushin some serious horsepower through that Berk to be running that fast.
I've checked my bottom and I don't appear to have much if any hook, but I do have a nasty porpoise at cruise speeds. I have to run the diverter almost all the way down to stop it. At top speed, it runs free on the last 1/3 or so of the hull and is solid as a rock with the diverter up. Speed is unknown.
Did you have a porpoise problem? If so, what did you do to fix it?
Thx

I think it is a special order item, but it was on the boat when we got it, but they do really nice work.
Omega thanks for the compliment.
It's hard to believe it's 20 years old.
hey mohave kid my boat still porpises at low speeds because of the weight and the pump being shoved out the back plus my droop and wedge doesnt help so what i do to fix it is give it more throttle!!!nice picture that boat is sweet!!!!
