Last year for the 496 so I have read. GM will stop production of the longblock sometime late this year. So get one while you can.
Buy a boat sooner than later, the new Merc CARB approved motors go into circulation Jan 08. Price tag up a few grand and down around 20hp so we will see what happens. Not sure when it effects the HP525 motors on up.
From the grapevine, i hear that the 8.1l will be gone for 09 and replaced for now with a 6.2 blower motor?
