sure it can but that is a little different as the hull has a lot of drag, like a boat. Does a boat go up current? Sure takes a little more power. Might take longer too... In the case of the treadmill with tires..the wheels do not have as much drag as the hull of the airplane...but they both will fly...I still say didn't we go through all this last winter..maybe it was towards the end...
