I had the same prob what i did was take a stainless steel cable tie wraped it between the log and the oil tube suunds stupid but it has held for two years and you would never notice it unless you knew it was there.
Anyone have a trick for getting the tube into the block on an Olds. Everytime I reomve my logs, I break the tube. Usually the new one slides up to the lumpy part, and then a little tap w/ a hammer locks the tube into place. For some reason the one I got today from Mondello will not lock into place. What gives?

Take one of those body pulling tools that looks like an ease-out. Put it on a slide hammer. Screw it into the old broken off tube. Twist as you hit the slide hammer, and it will pop right out.
