You are OK as long as they are not blocking your view. I run them in both of my cars and have never had a LEO give me a second look even with it suction cupped to the windshield.

No problem with detectors in AZ.
Federal Laws says no way in any commercial vehicle subject to interstate commerce regs. But then, only AZ Officers qualifed in Commercial Vehicle Inspection can cite for it.
But remember. By the time you pick up the signal, you're already locked on.

Not if you catch it on a bounce. With my new Escort I get a bounced signal over a roll in the road or around a corner before the LEO is even in sight. Sometimes over a mile away. If he can't make a visual direct line of sight how can he get an accurate reading or even know if it was you that he is picking up over a roll or around a corner?

My Valantine one will catch the bounce around corners, over hills, sometimes up to 3 miles, well over a mile most all the time. Close instant on "aimed at you" rather than someone in front of you, yeah you've pretty much had it, otherwise they're very helpful (for anyone who might push the speed limit a little). Not me of course. I just got it for testing purposes.

But you can get pulled over for it. AZ DPS pulled me over for having my radar detector attachd to the windshield, wrote me a warning...

My valentine one has paid for itself 10 times over....and they aren't cheap...but well worth it.
what boatcop said about being locked in, thats true for laser, but not radar
also, it doesnt detect cops if they are pacing you via plane
