Use a 75/90 synthetic gear oil. Alot better then the oil that comes with the jetaway.
It's an extreme pressure 90 WT. lubricant with a GL-5 additive.
NOTE:
Synthetics will work, but tend to cause leaks due to their extreme expansion rate when heated.

That is true duane thats why its best to run a vent tube no matter what then when it expands you wont have leaks.
I couldn't agree more. The best vent we have found to date, is to take one of those old grease feeders that used to come on the Dominator pumps, take the guts out of them and they make a great vent. They have a breather hole in them and will let any of the expanded synthetic oil build up in them without leaking. Then when they cool off, they suck the excess right back iinto the Jetaway.
(make sure the vent hole is facing up)!
I use a braided line that is plastic lined with a vent on the end of it, they do not cost much to have made, just tuck it up under your transom.
