So i got my new stainless steel air scoop from jet boat performance today..

Ok but back to my issue. So now that i have this beutiful new air scoop how do i secure it to my Holly Carb? I dont see any screws, bolt, latches etc.. The bottom Pic is what came off my carb so you can see what i am working with. When i get some day light i can post some pics of the exsposed carb so you can see what is there.

I just looked at this thing again.. and i think you are right. the air cleaner nut is proly the easy way to go.. will that be strong enough though?

regular holley or dominator? i'll go look up the 1 i'm getting, but i run dominator, they have standard holley too.
My old Sanger had that style scoop. It had a spark arrestor holding it down. Some say the spark arrestors are restrictive, others say they aren't.

I have a plate like that but that would mean i woudl have to drill this stainless steel. wouldlove to avoid if at all possible..
So will the air cleaner bolt hold this down enough? I woudl think so as in a car thost style air cleaners are pretty attached...
I've used the air cleaner bolt to hold my scoops on single carbs since 1976. Haven't lost one yet.
