I was going to replace my carpeted plywood that had rotted away, when I had an idea and used aluminum diamond plate, with a couple layers of wetsuit material for padding, and indoor/outdoor carpet to finish it out. Costs more than the old carpet and plywood but it adds more chrome behind the tires, and it'll last for a long time, meaning you'll never have to do it again. The best of both worlds More Chrome and permanent. Suppliers-IMS Indutrial Metal Supply in Burbank, for the diamond plate, and American Science & Surplus for the neoprene sheet. Just an idea:idea:

Thanks Cas. It's still on my todo list. I don't have the luxury of an existing one, but all it takes is 4 bolts to pull the fender itself. I'll do that and use it for my pattern.
