130 MPH Single Engine Howard?

I have my questions about any Nordic (prior to 2007) V bottom going fast without having the bottom completely changed. The V to strake/lift ratio is not correct and the center strakes (even the stepped bottoms) end way too far forward. With lots of power and a NEW BOTTOM it might run well, but who would spend all that time and money on that design?

I was on internet the other day and came across a video (links below) of a Howard 28 bullet going 130 MPH...If this is in fact true it is pretty impressive...After seeing the video it made me wonder, why don't they show up at a sanctioned kilo run? That way it will be officially in the record books...Right now I'm a bit of a sceptic...

I am familiar with the boat/driver/engine, and I am by no means discrediting him. But if you have a boat that impressive why not run it for the record books? That way there is clearly the undisputed champ. The bar has been officially set and the world has been put on notice.
