Never been there , what size is it ? and how much water is left?
Anyone going out to Modesto Reservoir this Saturday? Deltaholic from Performance Boats board and myself will be out there if any are interested. The more the merrier.

It's decent size the average depth is around 30' when full. The lake is low right now, for the bigger boats it might be a little hairy. Here is the address. And some pics from last weekend. This weekend should be a blast! C'mon out this Saturday, whoever can make it. We will be to the left of the West boat launch along the beach that is there, as seen in the pics.

2,800 acres of reservoir, to be exact.
i don't think i will be going cause we already planned a tahoe trip, but you never know...
i have one big question, is there overnight camping there? is it by reservation or first-come?
next question, is the bottom mostly sandy and are there many hidden obstacles that you have to be a "local" to know about? i'm awefully protective of the bottom of my boat...it's still un-scratched.
finally, i've barely got enough torque to pull out of don pedro on the moccasin ramp, is a 4x4 required on the ramp due to steep or un-paved?
cheers and thanks in advance for info

There is plenty of overnight camping, it's 1st come. You might want to get there early on a Friday to get a spot that has hook-ups, but other than there you can find all kinds of spots. You can pretty much see all the obstacles. No 4x4 required! I wouldnt recomend a big boat on the lake due to water levels.
so far, are there just two jets lined up for the event?

So far there is 3 lined up...
let's make it four jets then, i think we're going to roll the dice on low water and go! afterall, it looks like a nice beach (compared to anything at don pedro, which is rocky everywhere) and there is always the hot sun to drink under.
we're going to stay up in the mountains friday night and then boogie it down there, so we might arrive around noon...hopefully earlier. we don't need hookups for camping, so maybe will be a spot left for us. we'll probably just crash in the back of the truck under the stars.
looking forward to jets, roosts, some killer music, spirits and good times. maybe we can get some good pics and vids so everyone that doesn't go can kick themselves for not doing it.
