I grew up and most of my adult boating in the Panhandle of Florida and Louisiana......I moved to California a little over 2 years ago and have just been blown away at the disregard to the image that is played out across the world as tree hugging, conservation, save every thing mentality and the disgusting beach's and water ways I have seen here.
Us Rednecks tend to have a bad rap for environmental things and I have seen some throw a beer out or cigarette butt but more often I have watched 20 surrounding boaters at the sand bar yell at that boat to pick it up but not in CA. The beaches in Destin Harbor, Crab Island, the Islands in the Intercostals, the sand bar on Lake Maurpas at the Amite and Tickfaw rivers, Florabama, the island at the diversion canal all have never been like what I have seen on the Delta in some spots.......
