Can someone post a pic of where the hand hole is?
and inside if posible?
that way i know where to check for shaft play...

i dont have a pic but on most pumps it will be in the very back inside part of the boat on the pump housing.Some boats may have it on the outside(set back pumps,jac golden eagle)Usually two bolts and if you open it besure to do it on the trailer unless it is on the outside of the boat
If you look at this pic you can see the handhole facing up right at the transom opening. It will have a cap, usually held on with wingnuts. Regular pumps it will be inside the boat. Setback pumps will be outside the boat.
Sometimes they will be halfway covered like this one......

If it's covered you might be able to grab it from underneath through the intake opening.

Duke.. If you can detect shaft play through the hand hole cover your jet drive has a problem. Jim
