let me say first, i'm new to jet boats, other than jetskis. at the risk of sounding totally stupid, what do i need to do to my pump so it will shoot a tail? it's a berkley 12jf on a glastron carlson cv 23.
this is probably a stupid question. boat's probably to big and slow or something. i was just wondering if it could be done...
thanks for the help and i really get a charge out of the hot boat boards !

Its like a trim for a jet boat. But the place nozzle move up and down farther i think it has a total of 22 degrees. Also it is manually controled. You can find a manual set up for around 600 and the electric is more. But definitely worth it.BTW you will need a split bowl pump i dont know if yours is or not.

    Jeffro,
What kind of trim do you have? Do you have movable tabs or does the nozzle move up and down?
If the nozzle moves up and down you already have a place diverter.
There are models (I believe) to fit both one and two piece bowls.
What do you think guys? Is he looking for a jetovator?

The Berkeley JF pump has a factory trim setup. The JF is actually rather unique. The trim pivot axis and the steering axis are in the same vertical plane. This is accomplished by using a "yoke" assembly that pivots side-to-side on the bowl for steering and has pivots in it for the trim to pivot up and down.
I have read of a trick(a little grinding in the right places) to allow a Jet-O-Vator to get more "UP" nozzle, but I don't know if it will work on the JF and its trim setup.
Jeffro, you do know that the bigger rooster does NOT help performance, right? It's all for show and slows the boat down.
Here's a pic of a JF pump, courtesy of the CP Performance site.
