Starting the cleanup before installing the motor, what a train wreck Now remembering how this crap goes back together, thats going to be the trick

Not sure whats going to be done in here, probably just clean it up and make it pretty. Till next Winter when I want to get new paint/gelcoat all over.

AZKC You are probably going to laugh at me but I'll tell you what I have done before. I would clean that whole area up and paint with an oil base color that matches your boat( with a brush) Then I would set some matching carpet down on the bottom, outside the stringers and glue in place. It really doen't look bad when its all done, you would be suprised. Jim

Oil based paint? Like house paint? I was thinking of something like that but I was going to make some floor pieces to level it out at stringer height then carpet or paint them. The color matching to the exterior sounds kewl though.

Well this is what Jim's idea of oil base paint looks like in my bilge. Next some sound deading material and maybe some carpet.
    Thanks for the idea Jim
