Dude- just estimating mine breaks down like this- $2000 for hull, $700 junkyard engine, $1700 engine rebuild, $390 distributor-MSD-wires, $250 scoop for carb, $600 used fresh pump, $300 used Place diverter, $150 used droop snoot, $400 used thru- transom water inj. headers, $300 new hoses all around, $100 new wiring, $300 new seats, $200 new steering and throttle cables, $100 bilge pumps, $150 Gauges, $250 rail type engine mounts-
plus stainless fasteners and all kinds of odds and ends- crap I'm getting tired and depressed thinking about it- I'd guesstimate about $8500- and more time than I can imagine.
I'm sure I forgot some items too.

I have a '79 Baja 19'bowrider. I bought it in '83 for $7600. Over the 20 years I have spent around $22,000. New motor (twice), new interior and new carpet (twice). Work on hull including new rub rail. Gel coat work ie, wet sanding and polishing etc. New cover(twice). Radio and 4 speakers. Trailer tires and lights (many). I do very little serious work on the boat mayself. I write a lot of checks. The boat looks beautiful and gets a ton of compliments. I almost forgot,Jet pump work. I still want a set of Lightning Headers ($2500). I also want a new trailer ($2500). It dosn't bother me one bit that I spent this money. My family and I have enjoyed boating and camping immensely. I have a 2001 Holiday Rambler 31' travel trailer pulled be a 2003 Ford Turbo Diesel Crewcab. I pull the boat with a 2002 Expedition. I am not bragging,I worked hard for these things. All totaled I am probably over 100 thousand. A friend on mine died of a bain tumor at 44. I want to live my life to the fullest because "THIS AINT NO DRESS REHEARSAL". What I mean is you get one shot at life, only one. Sorry for the rambling.
that's what I'm talkin' about...Well put.......

Time: not too much yet. Is that a race pump or something? Seems for that kinda $$$$ you should be flying in that thing. What kinda speeds are you at with only 300hp? Hopefully your going to have a healthier motor to go with a pump like that.
