I have one unopened drum I will try it and see what happens.
You could take a sample to a lab and and find out the quality of it first, might save you some grief who knows???..

if the drum is unopened shelf life is almost forever. Sun light, heat and air will mess up fuels. The dye may fall out but it isn't doing anything other that coloring, and any other solids you find on the bottom should have been filtered out at the refinery anyway. The big problem is the light ends evaporating off and leaving the "heavy parts" of the fuel, the longer/more evaporation the less lights will be present to light off the thick parts. The varnish is the end result of those "lights" leaving the house.

That's what I've heard about race fuels also.
well thats is good to hear, I keep in a cool place with no sun.
Race fuel in a sealed steel drum will last a long time ... Race fuel in a sealed plastic drum ... maybe a year, year and 1/2 at most ... fuel reacts with the plastic.
OK, now that we know that the gas is good does anyone want it?
