Howdy guys,
My family and I have been boatin' for quite a few years now and people that we know either can't get the time off, don't quite get what RIVER is all about or just plain can't appreciate boating, period. Any rate, was wondering if there is anybody out there that would like to get together from time to time and boat with us.
Just let you guys know, I am more of a family boater (pretty much done with the wild and crazy days). It is me, my wife and two kids (a boy 7 and a girl 12). We mostly boat anywhere between Avi casino and past Topoc gorge as well as lake Mojave.
We live down here in southern orange county (Mission Viejo area) and as said earlier would love to find some people with the same interests (family oriented and an appreciation for the River and boatin', of course).
By the way, we also try to hit the local lakes (Perris, Elsinore, etc.) but as you all know they have really gone down the drain in the last few years (water quality and the crowds).
So, please either send me private message or E-mail and we'll go from there.

Are you aware of the BETA/Lake Mojave event in May? It's targeted to be a very family oriented event with activities for the kids. Should be a good time to meet other boating families. KC on the boards is organizing it. There's a websight but I can't remember the url right now. Maybe we'll see ya there.

Scarabjet, even though I live in NorCal now, my family and I get to Mohave 2-3 weeks each summer.
We've got three kids, a boy age 8 and 2 girls, ages 7 and 5, so our "Crazy Party" days are behind us too. We keep it low key and just relax with a few cold ones and watch the kids burn energy.
We usually go with 1 to 3 other similar families and we'd love to have you join us. Probably go down the first time in late June after the kids are out of school.

I have a daughter 13 and son 6 (close to you kids)and you always welcome with us. I get my BOYS weekends and family weekends, so I kknow where you are coming from. wink
On March 15, we are meeting at Buena Vista, more of a family trip.
ERIC will be there, but he is cool, so no worries there.

The three of us (myself,wife and 11yr old boy) go to Mojave and Havasu 8 times or more along with the local lakes. We go with two other familys that have all girls in the 6-11 age. I don't own a jet tho so we stay out of the shollow water areas.

Been in Havasu for 10 years outa San Diego. Whenever U and the family come out, please let me know and I'd be more than happy to boat with you and your family. Got lots of family folks here in Havasu that do the same so don't feel shy.
