Has anybody ever launched anything bigger than a
pwc at telephone cove near Katherine @ Mojave?
There's no concrete, but it's a pretty flat
descent to the water. Was wondering if I could
pull my boat out w/o 4wd. Any help would be appreciated.

launched my 21 ultra when I had it with a lowered chevy 2wd when I had that too. The drive back was a bit hairy, as I slid backwards at one point and almost went off a cliff, but other than that the launch was nice. Oh yeah, had a few dents in my exhaust from hitting the road a few times.

Sometimes even tough for a PWC.
Pulled a guy out last year as he tried to back in far enough to unloud two Sea Doo's. I guess he didn't notice the water running in his doors. Lucky for him we had a tow strap. Wish I had a camera. Definitly a Kodak moment.

no problems always lauch there. 21 foot boat slammed F150 supercrew 2 wheel drive. Its always best to check the path first, so you dont get stuck in a ditch that is hidden....

Frosty Pop I tried Princess and it's a great ramp but damn that's one long dirt road. Too much dust for me.

I launched my Chaparral 235 SSi behind a 2wd pickup there, you just have to back way way in and drive off the trailer.
I took her out at Katherine's, it was just easier.
    Thanks

I've launched & retrieved there over 100 times and have only gotten stuck once. That was my fault for not checking for holes underwater. I launch the 23' Caliber 1 in my avatar with a Chevy Astro van and have never had a problem. Just make sure you know where the holes are (if there are any) or watch your trailer as you back down and if you see one wheel or the other dip down real far, pull back up and move over a couple of feet. Ususally if there is a hole somebody puts the free trash bag holder in front of it so nobody backs in there.
I'd bet rvrkaosI is talking about Princess Cove when he says it was a hairy drive and that he almost slid off of a cliff. That's not possible coming out of Telephone.
