I dont have any links but they are VERY strict on ALL your safety gear..ie. Fire extinguisher, life vests for each occupant, throw cushion, and 35MPH..rader enforced.
Be prepared!
Anyone have any info on Castaic? I need to take someone for a test drive tomorrow! What are the rules out there these days?

Last time we were up there they didn't check us for any safety equiptment, but that was Good Friday and it was cool and windy. I think the Baywatch wanna b's just didn't want to get out and get cold, and as the closing date gets closer i'm not sure they're going to hassle to many folks. Have fun and take all your safety stuff anyway, make sure you have a throw cushion, saves you alot of trouble.

We go regularly and are checked about half the time for equipment.
We anchored at the sand cove in Elizabeth Canyon and in minutes rangers and lifeguards appeared outta the scrubrush siteing anyone in the water (Castaic is a no Body contact lake),, and anyone with an open container of beer.

How can you have a "no contact" lake and allow water skiing? Or jet skis for that matter?
